Find My iPhone feature in the iPhone

MobileMe members with iPhones can benefit from this wonderful feature that can really save you in a jam. If you loose your iPhone in your house, for instance, you can log into your mobileme account via the web and make your iPhone play a sound so you can locate it (even if it is locked).  You can also write a message to be displayed on the phone, in the event that you leave it at your previous location: “Hi!  Forgot my phone, will be there in a few to come pick it up!”

Mobileme will also display your iPhone’s location on a map, so if it was stolen or you just have no idea where you left i last, you can easily locate it on the web.  You can then erase all of your phone’s  sensitive data remotely just so you can feel secure knowing that it’s not getting into the wrong hands.

We give Apple props for utilizing technology in this thoughtful manner.  Now if they could just get that battery to last a full day without having to plug it in, they really will have figured out how to have the perfect smart phone!
